Mid-Sussex Cricket League

RECORDING OF LEAGUE RESULTS

It is the responsibility of the home club to record the result and full scorecard of league matches via the Play-Cricket website by 10 a.m. on the Sunday following each match even if abandoned or cancelled.

Play-Cricket Results Entering User Guide

The result defaults will have been pre-set in the website and will update the League tables automatically, but each club’s Play-Cricket website administrator will be required to fill out the batting and bowling points to facilitate this.

Once the result has be recorded and verified, access to the result and scorecard will be blocked. If you then need to add further details or make amendments this can only be done by sending the relevant information to Jon Sears at msclresults@gmail.com

If the home team fails to record the result and full scorecard by the designated time (10 a.m. on Sunday), a penalty of 10 points will be deducted from the home side.

Any appeal should be made no later than the following Tuesday after the disputed result.  The Executive Committee will then make a decision and notify the home team of the outcome.

In order that the result and scorecard can be recorded accurately all clubs should ensure their players have a record on the play-cricket site prior to the match. In addition the players’ names should be entered into the scorecard as they appear on play-cricket.

An Excel score sheet can be used as a backup in the event the Play-Cricket website is down. Please complete the sheet in the usual fashion and forward it to Jon Sears.  An email acknowledgement will act as confirmation for each result sheet received.  It will then still be your responsibility to complete the Play-Cricket match information when the website becomes available.

The full scorecard is required to be completed as agreed at the AGM in October 2013.

RECORDING RESULTS FOR CUP & TROPHY FIXTURES

The fixtures for the Wisdom Sports Cup and Sally Miller Trophy now appear on the Play-Cricket website.

It is the responsibility of the home club to record the result and full scorecard of the match via the Play-Cricket website by 10 a.m. on the day following each match.

If the match is abandoned or cancelled and will be rearranged the home club should email Jon Sears and amend the fixture on the Play-Cricket website.

You are kindly reminded that fines are no longer being imposed for failing to record the result by email on Saturday evening / Sunday morning.

The fines have now been replaced with a 10 points League deduction for failure to complete a Cup/Trophy match result.
